Is the Universe talking to you?

The other day I was offered a chance to accept Angels into my home to assist me with any projects or issues that I wanted help with. There was a bit of ritual to do at the appointed time if I chose to have them come into my life. I've always been a huge believer in Angels, so of course I accepted this honored gift.
My appointed day was Wednesday. They arrived and I felt very opptimistic about their arrival and the work that we would accomplish over the next 5 days, when I would then have to send them on to three other people who I asked if they would accept them into their lives to assist them in their projects/endeavors.

On Thursday, I was very down regarding some choices I have to make regarding one of my endeavors. This endeavor is a life dream of mine and I want very much for it to succeed. Since patience isn't one of my many virtues, I'm finding it difficult to sit around and wait. I want instant gratification for the work I've put into this endeavor.

I have to go back a couple of years to something that happened to me when I was meditating one fine fall day. I was still having trouble dealing with the death of my husband a few months earlier and I happened to be praying, asking for guidance when in my head I heard "Grab hold of the feathers and hold on tight." Well, when I took an Angel class a few weeks later (Sandra Monroe at SCC teaches this), I relayed this story. It was obvious the Angels were saying to grab hold of them and hold on.

When I left work on Thursday, feeling a bit down and trying to decide if I was going to go ahead and go to a monthly meeting or hide at home and suffer in silence, I happened to look down at the ground. There must have been twenty or more feathers along the sidewalk from the front of my office building to a block away where my car was parked.

The message I got from seeing these feathers was "Hold on tight. Don't give up on your dream. It will happen, but maybe not in this instant, but it will happen."

So if you're out there and you're struggling to see the success of your dream, don't give up. It will happen. I am finding that I do have to believe that all will work out as long as my intention remains strong. I will acknowledge that we all have our lapses in our belief in ourselves, or that perhaps the Universe may be leading us in a different direction. But this will happen in a good way, if we need to adjust our course a little bit.

As I am typing this little tidbit, the energy coarsing through my hands and fingers is letting me know that I'm doing okay, that everything is going to work out just fine. I'm in tune with what I need to be doing with my life.

All I can say is that I'm holding on as tight as I can. My strength was resolved and I am just as determined to make things work out in the way that I'm wanting, but I'm open to the Universe to guide me if I falter along the way.

My question to all of you is: Are you paying attention to what the Universe has to say to you?

Blessed be my dear friends,

Sue

An American Ghost Hunter

An American Ghost Hunter Makes Speech in Lincoln
by Elizabeth Lewy

Chad Calek, an American ghost Hunter, husband, and producer of Paranormal State and The Ghost Prophecies, gave a speech at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. The experiences he told about were amazing, as the screen before us replayed the true evidence of the spirit world.  He explained how he tried every way possible to debunk the situation at hand and the voices he heard, as well as a few ideas for ghost hunting of your own.
Chad grew up in a small town in Iowa and later went to Iowa State University. He never thought twenty years ago that he would ever be here standing in front of an eager listening crowd of believers and superstitious beings nor did he think that he would ever be searching for ghosts. Now he is married to a school teacher whom every once in a while goes along on trips with him and his crew.
He gave a few tips for anyone wanting to enter this field in the future, or anyone in the field already:
*Make an argument to the skeptical side that ghosts are real.
*Never EVER give up on your footage!
*“Solo ghost hunting” is permitted. It is better when you’re alone because there is much less contamination of evidence, but, yes, it can be scary.
I asked one question. “How would you go ghost hunting and how would you show your evidence, if you were an Indigo Child?” I thought I stumped him. He struggled with a response and even struggled just to begin.
“That’s a good question,” he said, still struggling to answer. “You know I think that’s the hardest question I ever heard.” The way he explained was kind of randomly put and didn’t make much sense--until I replayed my recording.
The way most psychics record their experiences is by writing it down or saying it aloud in front of a camera.
Another question I’ve been asking myself is, ‘how does someone get into ghost hunting, when so young and being an Indigo?’
Just find the closest paranormal society near you and contact them. Go online and find blogs on facebook or yahoo. If you don’t have internet then just start talking about it. That’s how I got started with a lot of people, although I’m not into the field just yet, I’m working on it.
The entire experience with Chad was amazing. His evidence was true to his word and turned many skeptics into believers with just the first piece of evidence. I suggest getting to know him online at www.aghnation.com or going to twitter @aghchad, @aghjoe, and @trueplayajuice.

Our amazing young people

Yesterday I had the honor and privilege of sitting with a group of remarkable, amazing young people. You would pass these kids on the street and think that they were ordinary kids, going to school and hanging with their friends and family. Little would you know that these kids are all highly intuitive.

Intuitive? You aren't sure what intuition is, are you? Intuition can be when you have a gut feeling - your gut is telling you something is right, or bad. You might call them "vibes". You have dreams that come true the next day, or some time in the future. You may just "know" something. Have you ever seen something that no one else was able to see. Or has someone whispered something in your ear but no one was there? These are all part of being intuitive.

Clairsentient is where you feel or touch something and know things about the object, like who owned it, or who gave it to someone, possibly even if the person is missing what happened to them..

Clairvoyant is where you see things in dreams or visions.

Clairaudient is where you hear things.

Claircognizance is when you just know things.

Clairgustance is when you can taste something but you haven't had it in your mouth.

Clairalience is when you smell something that isn't there.

There are also so many other things involved with intuition. Like if you know what someone may be thinking or going to say. Have you ever been able to finish someone's sentence for them? My husband and I used to do this to each other. Even when we'd only been married for a short period of time we were able to finish each others sentences. We were "on the same page" as my grandmother used to say.

We all have intuition. Men don't usually call it intuition, it's a "gut" feeling for them. More manly, I guess. Alot of people may call it "paranormal" or "psychic".

Have you ever thought that possibly this is the way the world will be headed? A world where we can talk to people with our minds and never have to vocalize our thoughts again? Something to think about isn't it?

I remember when I was living in Georgia my mother was ill. I was getting ready to move back to Nebraska and was packing some boxes. My phone rang and I picked up the receiver. Without saying hello or even hearing who was on the other line, I asked "What happened to Mom?" Anyone else would have thought I was crazy, but I had a connection - a link - with my sister or my mother at that moment in time. They were calling out to me with their mind, but also with the telephone. It was my sister on the other end telling me my mother's condition was worse.

Have you had any experiences like this that you can't explain? How about coincidences? There are no coincidences. It's all planned. You are supposed to be there at that moment in time, doing whatever it is you are supposed to be doing or meeting whomever you are supposed to meet.

That's what these kids are all about. They are being taught not to be afraid of what they see and hear. They are learning how to use their abilities to help themselves and others. I was totally impressed with their behaviors and their outstanding attitudes. I look forward to sharing time with them in the future.

Spirit or Ghost

Whether we've realized it or not, we've all had encounters with the Spirit World. You say, you've never seen a ghost? Well, let me tell you there is a difference between ghosts and spirits.

At least, this is my belief. Yours may be different and I am not going to dissuade you that your belief is not the correct one.To me, Spirits are the deceased that have returned to the other side upon their death. They have chosen to remain there instead of returning to another life.

A spirit can be a loved one who pops in now and again to check on you, a gentle reminder that you're not forgotten. A little nudge to let you know they are okay. If you're having a difficult time, they may pop by to give you a hug. You know that warm ball of energy that sometimes encases you in a blanket-type feeling? Could be someone has come to tell you, "it's okay,we'll make it through this rough time."

We all have Spirit Guides. They stand by us from the time we arrive in this world til the day we leave our physical bodies. Have you ever gone to do something and you possibly hear an inner voice say "don't do that?" or you get a feeling that you shouldn't go somewhere or do whatever you were planning to do? Did you ignore that voice or feeling? What consequences did you have to bear because you chose to do the opposite? That voice or feeling was your guide trying to keep you from harm's way.

If you haven't learned to pay attention to that voice, or feeling, perhaps now is the perfect time to start.Perhaps you've sensed or felt that someone is next to you, but no one is there. This could also be your guide or a spirit.

Now, ghosts on the other hand, I believe are spirits of the deceased that have died by traumatic or unexpected, sudden means. They may be afraid to cross over or they decide that there is still business that needs to be taken care of before they leave this dimension.

Is it possible they can't leave until the person who caused them harm is caught? Or that they let a loved one know where that really important information is? Perhaps it's just to say I'm sorry or I love you. I don't know the answers to these questions. I do know these are all possible, probable explanations. Is it possible they just loved it here so much that they don't want to leave? Again, why not?

As you relax and let your mind drift, perhaps you'll recall a time or two when you've felt a light touch on your shoulder, or the whisper of a kiss on your cheek. Seeing an apparition in the middle of the night can be quite startling. Just remember that they can't hurt you. Ask them what they need - can you help them? Perhaps you can pass on a message to help lighten someone elses day.

There are a lot of questions we ask regarding Spirits or Ghosts. Sometimes you find an answer, sometimes you don't. Try listening for your Spirit Guide throughout the day. It is amazing what you may here, or see.

As the time grows closer for All Hallows Eve, ghosts become more popular especially with the younger generation. They may roam the cemeteries trying to get a glimpse of one or two. Haunted tours that don't normally operate start up, leading people around to see all of the haunted locations. This is all done in fun.

For some of us, Ghosts and Spirits are real and, for me, should be treated with respect. You never know what they may teach you.

Until next time,

Blessed be

Sue

Welcome to LMN

As I was setting up the Lincoln Metaphysical Network for facebook they asked me to give a name for the group. When I read the selection I noted beliefs and causes, religion and spirituality, and philosophy. Well, Metaphysics is all of these and more. It has a basis in science even. I'm not a science guru, and I won't claim to understand it all, but I am amazed at what I hear.

I had to make a choice on how I listed the group. I happened to chose religion and spirituality. When I pressed the button I found myself wincing. How many people would take offense at my description and decide not to join. They believe it to be philosophy. But then if I pressed that button, who might take offense because they find it to be beliefs and causes, or science. So I am asking the Universe to grant me many people to visit us because they believe metaphysics is all of these things and more. My intention is to please all, not just some.

I am so excited about setting up a metaphysical network in the Lincoln and surrounding areas. I want everyone who is interested to come and join the discussions. I know there are several people in the area who have wonderful topics they would love to share and talk about. I am still waiting to hear from the library about the meeting room that I requested and I will be posting that information as soon as I get the okay. We are looking at October 18 from 7-8 p.m.

I am hoping you will join us for learning, growing and sharing your love and knowledge about metaphysics. We hope to make this a fascinating experience for all.

Namaste,

Sue and Liz
